Energy projects with development, construction and operations under one roof
GIS Power originates, develops and structures power generation projects in Mexico, each in its own special purpose vehicle (SPV), with long-term energy contracts. We are raising equity and project debt to take them to construction and to operate them for the life of the contract.
Provisional, aggregated figures for the GIS Power pipeline. Project-level detail is shared under a confidentiality agreement.
The thesis
Contracted energy, infrastructure operated for decadesMexico’s industry, industrial parks and data centers need continuous power and cannot always wait for the grid. An on-site generation project, with a long-term energy contract with a creditworthy user, turns that need into predictable cash flows.
GIS Power brings what makes a project bankable: origination and development, permits, design and construction, and operations with contractual availability. The group has done this work in critical infrastructure since 1983 and has operated power plants in Mexico since 2009.
Our core offering is solar with battery storage (BESS) as primary power, with cogeneration where there is thermal demand.
When we are not your counterparty
- If you need short-term liquidity: these are long-term assets.
- If you are looking to acquire operating assets: our pipeline is in development and construction.
- If your mandate excludes construction risk.
Structure
How each project is structured
What you will find in the data roomOne SPV per project
Ring-fenced assets, contracts and debt, with each investor’s stake held in that company.
Energy contract
PPA, energy as a service or BOOT with the user, with a defined rate, term and performance targets.
Payment trust
The user’s payments flow into a trust that services the debt first.
Permits and interconnection
With CNE and CENACE, with the path and status of each filing documented.
Single-point EPC
Design, procurement and construction with brand-authorized commercial partners.
O&M and asset management
24/7 operations with contractual availability and regular investor reporting.
Risk is ring-fenced in each project
The SPV holds the plant, the contracts and the debt; user payments flow through a trust that serves debt first.
Takeaway
The investor assesses one asset with its own contract and cash flow, not the user’s or GIS Power’s balance sheet.
The user pays for energy, not for the plant: that is why your company does not need to invest.

30years
Maximum term of a mixed scheme
Regulations of the Electricity Sector Law, art. 73, Official Gazette, Oct 3, 2025.
100%
Deductible in year one
Solar and efficient cogeneration equipment, with a minimum of 5 years of operation. Income Tax Law, art. 34, sec. XIII.
Mexico’s electricity demand will grow 41% by 2039
Gross electricity consumption, index 2025 = 100, at the planning scenario’s 2.5% a year.
Takeaway
Growth of 2.5% a year compounds to 41% over 14 years. Generation has to keep pace, and not all of it can wait for the grid.
That is the space for on-site generation under long-term contracts.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of investor are you looking for?
Infrastructure and energy funds, family offices, development banks and commercial banks, for equity or project debt.
Can I invest in a single project?
Yes. Each project sits in its own SPV, so participation can be set per project or for a group of projects.
Who operates the plants after close?
GIS Power, under an operations and maintenance contract with contractual availability, for the life of the energy contract.
Are the pipeline figures final?
No. They are provisional, aggregated figures; updated detail is shared with the teaser, under a confidentiality agreement.
